Christmas in the Park

Dates: Friday, December 3 through Sunday, December 5, 2021. Christmas lights will fill the Terre Hill Park along with food, activities, entertainment, free children’s crafts, music and more!

Hours: Nightly, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (hours for specific activities vary)

Cost: Parking and admission are free. Food, certain activities, and admission to the lighted walking trail are a small fee/donation. See below for details.

Parking: Available at the Terre Hill Park. The park driveway will be one way- please use the Lancaster Ave entrance. Additional parking will be available at parking lots in town with a shuttle running between the parking lots and the park. Click here for directions.

Christmas in the Park will be held December 4-6, 2020! See below for times and details. The event will be modified this year for the safety and well being of our community. If you attend, you will be required to wear a mask in most areas. If you do not wish to wear a mask you can still enjoy the lighted walking trail, but will not be permitted in “mask required” areas of the event.

The event is held in our 10+ acre park and is mostly outside with social distancing. Indoor portions of the event will be capacity limited and masks will be required. Dogs are permitted, as long as they are friendly and on a leash.

Ongoing Events Each Night

  • Lighted Walking Trail & Live Nativity – Stroll through the Terre Hill Park walking trail complete with dozens of hand made lighted decorations, music, live nativity and lots and lots of Christmas lights! Admission to the trail is by suggested donation to the Terre Hill Park- Adults: $5, children 4-16: $3, 3 and under are free. Admission is valid the entire evening. Walking distance is approximately a quarter mile. Transportation through the trail is available to those who require assistance. The lights will be lit from 5 – 9 pm, nightly. Live nativity from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, nightly.
  • Children’s Magical Holiday Train Ride – Kids will love our holiday train ride through the park! Travel through the forest, over the train bridge and up to the north pole! Train operates 5-9 pm each night, children only. Tickets are a $3 donation to the park.
  • Christmas Tree Plaza – Enjoy a variety of food including fresh made soup, sandwiches, funnel cakes, hot chocolate, popcorn, coffee and more!
  • Visit with Santa – Located at the Community Center (second floor), Santa wants to hear from everyone what they want for Christmas this year! Santa will be on site from 6-9 pm.
  • Christmas Village – Experience the magic in Christmas Village! Browse vendors with hand made holiday themed items perfect for the upcoming gift giving season! Enjoy holiday tunes, tasty treats and warm drinks! The village is also the gateway to the lighted walking trail. Enjoy specialty hot chocolate drinks in Christmas in the Park mugs! Flavors include gingerbread, raspberry and peppermint.
  • Horse Drawn Carriage Rides – Enjoy a ride like no other through town on a horse drawn carriage! Tickets are $3/person, ages 3 and under are free.

    Children’s Crafts @ Santa’s Workshop – Free children’s crafts will be located throughout the event in an effort to spread out our activities and prevent crowding. Look for signs at the event and pick up a map for detailed information at the event. 

Special Events Friday, December 4, 2020 – Friday evening we will be CLOSED due to rain

  • Music by “Left Field” – 6 – 9 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza. 
  • Kids Gingerbread Cookie Decorating – 5:30 – 8:30 pm in the Community Center. $2
  • Holiday Horns – 6 – 8 pm in Christmas Village
  • Live Ice Carving Demonstration – 7 pm beside the main food pavilion.

Special Events Saturday, December 5, 2020

  • Music by “Echo North” – 6 – 9 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza. Check out this great local group with some wonderful holiday tunes!
  • Kids Gingerbread Cookie Decorating – 5:30 – 8:30 pm in the Community Center. $2
  • Holiday Horns – 6 – 8 pm in Christmas Village
  • Live Ice Carving Demonstration – 7 pm beside the main food pavilion.

Special Events Sunday, December 6, 2020

  • Music by the Martin Sisters Band – 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza. Stop by to enjoy this toe tapping western swing show including some Christmas favorites! 
  • Kids Gingerbread Cookie Decorating – 5:30 – 8:30 pm in the Community Center. $2
  • Garden Spot Performing Arts presents A Christmas Carol – 7 pm at pavilion 3. Adapted for radio broadcast, this hour-long program will feature a staged reading by Garden Spot High School students voicing over 40 unique characters and storytellers.
