Due to an issue with Disney’s movie licensing, we’ve been informed that we need to select another title for our August 11 Movie Night in the Park. We’ll be moving on to the 2nd place pick, Finding Dory! Lots of us were looking forward to Beauty and the Beast, but unfortunately we’re no longer allowed to show it. Don’t worry- it will be in the running again for next year, and the fun will continue on August 11 with Finding Dory!
Amnesiac blue tang Dory searches for her long-lost parents with the help of pals Nemo and Marlin. She eventually heads for California and the Monterey Marine Life Institute, evading predators along the way as she hopes to find a place she can call home.
We’ll show the movie at dusk (around 8 or so) and have food in the pavilion starting at 7. We will also have Joyful Canvas from 7-8 pm to with fun underwater-themed face painting for the kids! Mark your calendar for this fun, FREE admission event!
We hope you were able to enjoy Terre Hill Days 2017!
While the weather was a bit on the fence at times we still had a great few days of summertime fun at the Terre Hill Park. THANK YOU to everyone who attended and supported our community park. A special thank you to all the volunteers who assisted with the event this year- we could not do it without you! Many of our stands sold out of food and supplies Saturday night and we greatly appreciate everyone who came out to enjoy the fair.
If you haven’t seen, LNP has published two great articles on the event: http://lancasteronline.com/news/local/missing-front-teeth–year-old-wins-terre-hill-pie/article_594d8b84-69ba-11e7-bb49-6b551e82f4fb.html , http://lancasteronline.com/news/local/they-race-outhouses-in-terre-hill-and-they-really-go/article_bc687704-69ad-11e7-9c27-9bd0eaed218f.html
And we posted a few photos on our Facebook page- https://www.facebook.com/terrehilldays/
We sure hope you are enjoying Terre Hill Days 2017! Events continue tomorrow with an outdoor community church service under the big tent at 10:30 am.
Also tomorrow is the annual community picnic– everyone and anyone is invited! We’ll supply hot dogs and beverages, just bring a covered dish to share and we’ll enjoy some great entertainment from the Martin Sisters at noon!
