Christmas in the Park

Dates: Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8, 2019. Christmas lights will fill the Terre Hill Park along with food, activities, entertainment, music and more!

Hours: Nightly, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Cost: Parking and admission are free. Food, certain activities and admission to the lighted walking trail are a small fee/donation. See below for details.

Parking: Available at the Terre Hill Park. The park road will be one way- please use the Lancaster Ave entrance. Additional parking will be available at parking lots in town with a shuttle running between the parking lots and the park. Click here for directions.

Ongoing Events Each Night

  • Lighted Walking Trail & Live Nativity – Stroll through the Terre Hill Park walking trail complete with dozens of hand made lighted decorations, music, live nativity and lots and lots of Christmas lights! Admission to the trail is by suggested donation to the Terre Hill Park- Adults: $5, children 4-16: $3, 3 and under are free. Admission is valid the entire evening. Walking distance is approximately a quarter mile. Transportation through the trail is available to those who require assistance.
  • Children’s Magical Holiday Train Ride – Kids will love our holiday train ride through the park! Travel through the forest, over the train bridge and up to the north pole! Train operates 5-9 pm each night, children only. Tickets are a $3 donation to the park.
  • Christmas Tree Plaza – Enjoy a variety of food including fresh made soup, sandwiches, funnel cakes, french fries, lemonade, hot chocolate, soft pretzels, kettle corn and more!
  • Visit with Santa – Located at his house in Christmas Village, Santa wants to hear from everyone what they want for Christmas this year!
  • Christmas Village – Experience the magic in Christmas Village! Browse vendors with hand made holiday themed items perfect for the upcoming gift giving season! Enjoy holiday tunes, tasty treats and warm drinks! The village is also the gateway to the lighted walking trail.
  • Horse Drawn Carriage Rides – Enjoy a ride like no other through town on a horse drawn carriage! Tickets are $3/person, ages 3 and under are free.
  • Community Corner – Get to know some of the outstanding organizations in our community in Christmas Village throughout the event. Participating organizations include CrossNet Ministries, the Terre Hill Historical Society and the Eastern Lancaster County Library.

Special Events Friday, December 6

  • MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue 5-9 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza- Stop by and visit with these adorable dogs! MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the caring and placement of Siberian Husky and Husky mix dogs, into loving permanent homes through adoption and referral services.
  • Pet Photos with Mrs. Claus – 6-8 pm in Christmas Village. By donation.
  • Holiday Music with Steve – 5-9 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza. Steve will perform all the holiday favorites and some familiar gospel tunes as well! Join in on the fun and sing along on stage!

Special Events Saturday, December 7

  • Music by Mt. Zion United Methodist Church – 5-7 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza. Enjoy music from members of the Mt. Zion UM church in Narvon. We’ve heard members of this group this year at Terre Hill Days on Thursday night and also at the Ice Cream Social.
  • Holiday Tunes with Rich Arment- 7:30 pm – 9 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza. Sing along with holiday favorites played on an assortment of instruments by local musician Rich Arment.
  • Eastland Alpacas – 5-7 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza.  These furry friends are always a big hit at the annual Easter Egg Hunt, and they’ll be decked out for Christmas for this brand new event! Bring your camera!
  • Kids Gingerbread Cookie Decorating – 5-9 in Christmas Village. $2

Special Events Sunday, December 8

  • Music by Steve Dincau – 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm in Christmas Tree Plaza. Stop by to hear some traditional holiday tunes on guitar as well as some other favorites!
  • Kids Gingerbread Cookie Decorating – 5-9 in Christmas Village. $2
